Overview

Loadhog is a Sheffield-based, employee-owned manufacturer specialising in reusable transit packaging. The business has grown into an international operation with design and manufacturing in Sheffield, a North American base in West Chicago, and a new European factory in Obernai, France. Recognition for practical innovation includes The King’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation (2023) for the Pallet Lid, and the expanding footprint means shorter lead times and local support for customers on both sides of the Atlantic and across Europe.

Loadhog’s portfolio is built to take waste, risk and time out of material handling. Core products include the Pallet Lid, the Pally & Lid rolling container system, automation-ready totes and trays, attached-lid containers, dollies and bulk boxes - all of which are manufactured here in South Yorkshire. Solutions are engineered for durability, load security and seamless use with conveyors, robotics and shuttle systems; the Obernai site is focused initially on intralogistics containers and trays to support the growth of automated warehousing. 

Meanwhile, when it comes to sustainability - it is embedded, not bolted on. Loadhog is Planet Mark certified and working to a Vision 2030 roadmap towards Net Zero by 2030, with measurable progress that includes a 15.7% emissions reduction since 2021, on-site solar, and a minimum 30% recycled content across almost all products. Initiatives such as a customer swap-out scheme for end-of-life containers, alignment with the UK Plastic Packaging Tax, and participation in Operation Clean Sweep show the circular approach in practice. And in 2025 Loadhog got the recognition they deserved - the team won Gold – Sustainable Packaging Initiative of the Year at the Environmental Packaging Awards.
